What's really sad is the amount of people who don't believe in the basic tenet of American jurisprudence that you are innocent until proven guilty.

What's really sad is that you think this forum is a seated jury.  You do know that "innocent until proven guilty" is a tenet of LEGAL JURISPRUDENCE, right?  And does not apply to the judgments an everyday citizen is allowed to make?

Here's an example, you think the lady next door is incredibly nice and kind.  You discover that, somehow for some unknown reason, she had been charged with sexual abuse of a child twice in the past.  Not convicted.  Just CHARGED.  Got off Scot free both times.

Would you hire this nice "innocent until proven guilty" lady to babysit your children?

It's pretty simple: he did throw her on the bed that happened to have guns on it and maybe tackled her to get her to stop being as belligerent as he said she was and other witnesses said she was being. It doesn't mean he hit her, as many have suggested.

No one who believes that Greg Hardy physically abused this woman has said he "hit her".  What you described above?  "Throw her on the bed"?  "Tackled her"?  You do realize you just described a slam-dunk case of physical abuse, right?

Someone with Hardy's strength could cause those bruises simply by trying to restrain someone.

Expand

He obviously restrained her neck, her feet, her chest, and her legs too since those were bruised too.

yeah we're a good team.  several of our position groups look stacked on paper and the weakest units on this team are average when compared to the rest of the league.

but we're not greg hardy away from going 19-0 or threatening, say, what the 95-96 bulls did

Expand

I disagree strongly with the latter.  We are that good already.  And Greg Hardy is that good.

Right because he has such a Criminal history.

Expand

Some may consider being found guilty at a bench trial "a criminal history."  Some may consider damning photos of a woman covered in bruises "a criminal history."  Others, apologists or sympathizers, spend life on the same rung of the IQ ladder as good ol misunderstood Greg and do not.

If he were 'that good', somebody would have given him another chance by now.

A big part of why he's unemployed is because he proved last year that he's not 'that good'.

Silly logic.  Our GM does not work in the knee-jerk, desperation phase of free agency.  If he had the above motto or beliefs, we wouldn't be where we are, which is in great shape.  You could pick multiple guys on our current roster that blow the above theory to smithereens.  And this guy IS that good in case you forgot

He got 15 WITHOUT KK, Star, Kony, Shaq, JNo, and others being NEAR the players they'll be in 2016.  He'd have double digits with one arm tied behind his back playing 16 games with this D.

Wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up first.

Then why didn't he look good in Dallas?

(no, it isn't the Cowboys fault)

And our GM is the one that said "Who needs a time bomb". You think the guy that said that wants Greg Hardy back?

Because he'll magically suddenly start working hard again (like he didn't when everyone was watching to see if he'd get it together)?

Expand

When has Hardy not worked hard? And also Hardy wasn't playing with the panthers but a half assed Dallas squad. He gave them toughness soon as he got on the field.

Why wasn't Ted Ginn good in Arizona?  Or anywhere else for that matter?

He thought enough of the guy to slap the tag on him before the dropped alleged charges and let him play in week 1 after the charges and kangaroo court.  Who knows.

I see people are throwing the "no player is that good once they leave the panthers" card again. I gotta remind myself not to take some of yalls opinion on players around he seriously because it's obvious its high up on the bull poo meter.

Let's see if the Hardy jock huggers can get this redundant and ridiculous conversation up to 20+ pages

Expand

Anything redundant about Schefter himself backing Hardy?  Unreal the rest of the world has a different view than the guy that did the interview.  Everyone seemed to gloss over that particular post, as well as all others in this organization that vouch for the guy.
