Those of you who have been around since at least January know that our own PhillyB (Phil Blattenberger) and his co-author (Brad Mills) published an excellent history of professional football in the Carolinas entitled '15-1'.

It's an excellent work and I encourage you to purchase it at the low, low price of $2.99 if you own an Amazon Kindle.

Now, mere days ago, Philly has published via Kindle his first (as far as I know) fiction novel, 'Killing Freddie Mercury'.

No, no... this isn't a novel of murderous intent towards Queen's flamboyant (and deceased) front man, but a novel of murderous intent set in the American Civil War.

Can I recommend this novel due to content? Not at this time because I haven't read it yet. But I *can* recommend that Kindle owners purchase it anyway and give it a try at the low, low price of $0.99. Less than the price of a Bojangles sweet tea!

Come on... you can give up ONE sweet tea at lunch this week, right? Support your local authors!

(P.S. Any other local authors in this forum? Tell us about it!)
