have you bothered to watch/listen to interviews with "student" athletes from DIV I football and basketball programs?  It's clear that most of them did not get into their respective institutions based on academic merit.  This is not an issue that is isolated to one or two universities.

I bet they still have to show up to legitimate classes and write their own papers though.

For something that apparently every college does UNC is the one that gets picked on. It's unfair I tell you! QQ

the holier than thou attitudes are hilarious.  it's something that's gotten on my nerves since the "lol scam laptop paid more at auburn than in the nfl lmao" thing hit

i guarantee that every single person on this site cheers for "student athletes" who, at the absolute minimum, get a little "help" on the academic side or receive benefits that are either in a grey area or are outright banned.  this might be false if you're a fan of a DIII bible college or something so if anyone reading this is a big southeast arkansas fightin' woodchucks fan then this doesn't apply to you.

i was at app state during the three-peat/upset over michigan era and there was loads of that clearly going on, and this was a mere FCS power at the time.  those dudes were gods on that campus and i doubt kevin richardson, armanti edwards (or money as he was called in boone), dexter jackson, or many others wanted for a single thing their entire careers.  or maybe they paid for those loaded SUVs with custom paint, rims, and high end sound systems with what they made in work study, i could be wrong.

Yeah, I wouldn't pay too much attention to that green and gold fella.  He's one of those "oh you didn't graduate from that school?  Well, you suck and are a bandwagoner."  When as soon as he meets a fan of the 49ers that didn't graduate from there he'll give them a big hug and tell him how much he loves him.
