This sounds like an April Fools joke, but apparently it's real

I don't care what his forty time is - you can tell his is moving from the film.

Looks like a high school highlight reel, so it's hard to put too much stock in the tape.  However, he is clearly an intriguing height/weight/speed athlete and does display the ability to catch with his hands.  I'd hope we bring him in for a workout at the least - Dave likes big guys, and he's a big guy who can stretch the field.  Might be worth a shot.

He has a visit  scheduled with the Panthers according to the same article which has been updated on NFL.com

"UPDATE: In the 24 hours following Moritz Boehringer's impressive pro-day workout, seven teams have scheduled visits with the German wide receiver. College Football 24/7 has learned the identity of six of them: Chicago, Los Angeles, Carolina, Kansas City, Minnesota and Denver."

Looks like he is more than a blip on the radar. I will await news from his visits, especially  ours.

I'll tell you this, the NFL, and it's fans sure do like a feelgood story right before the draft.

We will see if he makes a roster, but man the defenders he was playing against were plain trash.

The question with a guy like that is always "what can he do with NFL coaching".

And seeing as we have him scheduled for a visit, obviously the Panthers are asking that question.

With athleticism like that, coaches will start drooling, and rightfully so.  It's the GM's job to see if he's smart enough to learn the nuances of the WR position in the NFL.  I'm typically skeptical of these type guys, but to each his own.

I hope he flies up boards, and he has a great career, but that is such a rarity with these guys.

Wonder if he can return kicks?

Also skeptical. But hey, that's what camp is for.

Guessing a conversation with Ricky Proehl would be part of his visit here.

Not a chance, every kick returner in the league has high agility. If you cant round corners fast on KR duty, you're dead. Acceleration is only part of that skill. Also, he's not that fast. To put it in perspective for you, Greg Olsen is 40 pounds heavier and the same speed. He appears to have about the same agility as Olsen as well, btw.

April Fools Day is over, you know...

"All of these marks would have landed inside the top five among all wide receivers who tested at the NFL Scouting Combine in February. And his 40, which was run on grass, is about the equivalent of a 4.39 on turf -- a time that would have tied for second among receivers at the combine."
