The Carolina Panthers are keeping a close eye on a nearby product as the 2016 NFL Draft approaches.

South Carolina offensive tackle Brandon Shell, a projected late-round selection, is scheduled to work out with the Panthers, according to David Caraviello of the Charleston Post and Courier.

I'm told #OhioState safety Vonn Bell has (or has had) meetings, workouts and/or visits with the #Jets, #Patriots, #Panthers and #Giants.

The Panthers offensive line has never been very talented. They just get guys they can use. 3 of our 5 o lineman would probably be minimum contract guys on any other team.

What? Ryan Kalil is arguably the best center in the league. Turner and Norwell are arguably the best guard duo in the league. Michael Oher was a godsend for us last year and showed how superior he is to Byron Bell, who should be a minimum contract guy. Jordan Gross, Travelle Wharton, Mike Wahle, etc. are past very talented players on our O-Line. I disagree completely with this post.

The workout is over at Florida Atlantic, and NT Trevon Coley impressed scouts.

His numbers include measurements of 6010, 306 pounds, 23 on the bench and a 29.5-inch vertical jump. Coley timed between 4.87 to 4.90 and ran 4.7 in the 3-cone. He met with the Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans, Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns, and has a workout with the Miami Dolphins coming up.

The Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos have also shown a lot of interest. Coley, whom many teams project as a three-technique tackle, looked terrific in position drills.

Up until the superb owl, Carolina had what was considered one of the best o-lines in football.

No way Cam wins MVP behind the Titans o-line.

Kinda funny how that all worked out isn't it? Funny how one game can skew everyone's perspective.

Not saying we should stand pat. But if we had to. We'd still be considered one of the favorites to win it all.

There is no way we lead the league on Offense if our O-line was as bad as most made it out to be. And if DWill can beat out Remmers, that makes it even better. And yet, there will be folks that will find fault. If we don't have the best player in the league at every position, Gman ain't doing his job.

Norwell has been a league minnimum player since he entered the league. Well thought out.

Maybe as far as his paycheck is concerned, but that wasn't the point and you won't find much support here or in 'expert land' for him being a marginal player/starter.
