Crazy stat: Sox can go 50-51 the rest of the way and end with 92 wins! Excited to see what we have in Beeks tomorrow.

Detroit is certainly the right team for him to get started against.  E-Rod sure looked good against them tonight.

It is amazing how good they are playing.  Having the Yanks playing so well may turn out to be a blessing too because they will not be so far ahead that they can lay off the gas down the stretch.  Seen too many teams do that and not be able to turn it back on.

Absolutely, though I still hate the 2nd wild card. Hopefully Pomeranz can regain some of the form that he had last year and ERod is not out for too long. Wouldn't be opposed to adding another bullpen arm as well as I still have little faith in Hembree and Barnes in close games.

Pearce, Kinsler, and Eovaldi were all decent pick-ups in areas of need.  I Am normally critical of  Dombrowski but I feel as if he did a really good job of filling out the roster despite having a very limited system from which to trade from.

I would have liked another RP but it may not be necessary.  At this point the Astros do have an edge at second starter and the Yankees have an edge in the pen outside of the ninth but in both places we have guys that can do the job as long as they perform.

Pearce is a good glue guy, Kinsler adds versatility and a better glove at 2B (assuming Pedey is done for the year), and Eovaldi is an upgrade right now for the #5 spot over Pomeranz. Don't feel like we gave up all that much though a little disappointed to lose Buttrey and that 100mph gas.

Hoping that Kelly has some positive regression back to how good he was earlier this year, Thornburg has looked better in recent starts as well, and Poyner is still an option in Pawtucket.

That was one hell of a series.  The starters will have to go deeper into games and the bullpen will have to pitch better against Houston though.  The Yankees were a very good baseball team this season, the Astros may end up being the best team that I have ever seen.

Regardless of the outcome, there is nothing that can happen at this point to make this season a disappointment.  Greatest record in Red Sox history and knocked the Yanks out of the postseason, evening the score at two series apiece all-time.

Cannot wait for Saturday.  I am struggling to think of a sports match-up where I felt you had two all-time great teams of this caliber, should be fun.

Astros are absolutely incredible. The margin of error in this series will be slim to none. Hopefully the bats can stay hot and the bullpen performs like they did in game 4. Not sure about starting Price game 2, I would have preferred to go Sale, Eovaldi, Porcello.

Eovaldi worries me.  I have been a huge fan of his for years, use to always get him as one of those $1 pitchers to spot start in fantasy.  When he is on, he is amazing, and he is a Yankee killer.  When he is bad though, he is very bad and it happens quickly.

Honestly though...against this opponent everybody worries me.

World Series beings in mere moments.  Cannot believe how quickly we dispatched the Astros.  Keyshawn worries me but if we can win one of his starts I feel we got this.  If he wins twice it is going seven, and then who knows.

GO SOX!!!

Alex Cora hasn't made a bad decision yet. Should be manager of the year.

Crazy to think a 108 win 1st year manager might not win it, Melvin did an amazing job with the A's and Cash getting the Rays to 90 wins in the AL East this year is incredibly impressive as well.
