I don't think he's worth 16 million a year, just for the record.

But I also wouldn't compare his situation to that of Tolbert either. You're grasping at straws with that one man.

CJ doesn't really work either because he's coming off two kind of lackluster seasons, that paired with his injuries, and age affected his market value.

In the end, we will in all likelihood have Norman for one more season, and I'm just gonna enjoy it. Unless he comes out talking poo about the Panthers or craps on the fans, I'm not gonna throw the guy under the bus just because he is trying to do what is best for himself.

You are spot on.  I am never going to fault a guy to making as much as he can.  I also don't want the Panthers to mortgage the future and their ability to make the right moves by breaking the bank on a guy that has had one great year.

It's cool.

We win Super Bowl 51, and there will be much rejoicing.

Josh leaves, gets PAID, and there will be much rejoicing.

Three years later, Josh returns for peanuts, and wins more Super Bowls, and there will be much rejoicing.

fuging Merica!

The problem with paying a top cb that kind of money is their effectiveness gets diminished vs spread formations, which is all the rage in the nfl these days.

We need to solidify the nickel position and have depth at corner. Need more consistent pass rush too.

In tribute to the Easter bunnies... don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Loved you 24, but you are a luxury that the Panthers can no longer afford.

Limited team funds can be better invested elsewhere on the defense.

You know as well as anyone how Dave Gettleman rolls.

Maybe he should catch those INT's in the biggest game of the year you know?

16 Mil a year is a lot easier when you HELP the cause in the Superbowl..

I'm with you that he had a lot of dropped INTs that game (at least 3) and those have to be made in the big game, however he was still one of the lone bright spots that game. Cam missed throws should we have not signed him?

I don't think we should even consider keeping him for that amount. But not because of his performance in the Super Bowl.

Edit: and if he doesn't make that play to switch to him in the first place (which many CB's don't make), then that's a huge completion.
