J-No wants 16 million a year

If gettleman will pay almost 14 on the tag, then 16 is not that crazy as long as the guaranteed amount isn't that high. Which player actually gets paid all of his contract. You can make it any number you want and go from there. It isn't what the whole contract says but how the cap falls out and the dead money after the first 2 years

that's an interesting thought.  i'm sure if josh norman was given the chance to bet on himself via an incentive laden contract with respectable guarantees and a high ceiling he would.

CYA later JNO, it was brief and it was interesting but if you think you're worth 16 million a year for the next 4 or 5 years...don't let the door hit you on the way out. We'll take the one year rental and the 3rd round compensatory.

Don't hold out, we'll cut you out like a bad cyst and you can go play in Cleveland.

He should be aiming for slightly better than Jenkins deal. 16M is fantasy land. Not even bad teams will pay that, especially given his age.

Jenkins contract averages 12.5M per year. 13-13.5M for Josh is the best  he can/should get IMO.

He won't get it from us. But without a doubt, barring serious injury this year, he will easily get 16 next year from someone. My bet would be redskins. Cap space is increasing every year. This is his one shot at a big contract given his age. I don't blame him asking for it. The plus of us renting him for on year is he will have to ball out again to remain a contender for top money in CB market next year. Love JNo and he personality and everything but this will play to our favor, not his.

A trade with Cleveland that include Haden would be awesome if Haden signs a resonable contract.

For everyone who is saying "bye" to Norman because of these numbers, it seems like bitterness to me.  Why can't we just be happy for the guy, a product out of the Carolinas, born and raised?  Why can't we be happy for a guy we drafted, who struggled to finally reach the peak of success?  In fact not only did he reach that peak, but he's gone to a level where many believe he is the best corner in the game.  That is amazing stuff.

If J-No leaves next year for more money, this should be one of the times we should all be joyful for him.  Be joyful for the individual success here.  Don't let this man leave in the midst of bitter fans.  If that happens, I would consider it a joke and a shame.

IMO most fans are on their periods 99.99% time when posting on huddle. Same thing happend when CJ got released everyone was like he sucks blah blah blah , then soon as we he gets resigned ppl switch their opion what a great resigning and depth for DL. Most ppl on Huddle are 2 face.

No one is saying he sucks Junior...they are just saying he is not worth 16m a year (highest paid SB in the league).

now take a Midol and relax

a 16 million average is almost 2 million more than the current CB record contract.

    • I compared him to Chinn as well, and several skallers on here screamed, "Different Position" but did not mention why that was a valid point.  It is a criticism of the coaches and system being a match.  I just compared Luvu to Walker (hybrid LBs) and some unbreastfed Huddler said Walker was destined to be a superstar because he is (and he listed characteristics that describe Luvu).  Point?  Luvu was a solid player with the same skill set and we let him walk.  Am I to believe that Walker is the messiah now?  If Pearce is there with Walker, Pearce is the pick. He had a good combine.
