Richard Sherman is getting paid 14 mil a year and Revis is getting 17 mil a year so can't blame Batman...

Revis' cap hit is $17 million this year. The average for his contract was a little more than $14 million per year.

Because most people are fans of the team and what he supposedly is demanding is highly against our team's philosophy and would hurt us big time if we gave into his demands. If he wants that kind of money, well good luck playing on a team next year that won't make the playoffs while we're a contender every year. Only bad teams offer contracts like that.

Its just that when we say things like good luck with playing for a sorry team, it comes across as ungrateful.  Norman made this defense as much as Kuechly made it.  He may not be here for the long term but if and when he does leave, we need to be thankful for his services and yes, we need to be happy for him.  It would be that kind of attitude that would truly make us a great fan base.

We also paid him two years to sit the bench. He should be thankful we stuck with him after some of the things he did.

Right...being a 5th round pick and 28 years old in the NFL with only accumulating a lil over million dollars in earnings makes you unreasonable.

It's funny because I remember when Greg Hardy, who was completely understating of the franchise tag and made it clear he was not going to hold out or skip anything, made his demands everyone killed him for being unreasonable. Josh Norman is not worth 16 million dollars. He's a very good corner but not worth that money. Just because the Giants overpaid for Jenkins doesn't mean we need to pay Norman. This fan base also turned on Muhammad and Peppers when they wanted more money.

i could also live without him dedicating his offseason to gain as much publicity as possible.

This reminds me of Hardy so much, before his romantic and second amendment issues.

Norman is going to lose money.  He MAY be worth $14 for one year, but a long-term deal $2 m above the tag rate?

He needs to be drug tested immediately.

$16m buys a lot of talent.   I say trade him when we can get something for him.  use the $14m we save to bring in 2-3 players

The Panthers are building something to compete year after year.  Josh has one shot at a contract left at his age.  Love to have him here, but understand he might have to earn is big paycheck elsewhere.

No hard feelings, best of luck.  Just hope Gman gets the max exchange for him while he can

If he gets 16 million a year I don't think anyone here would be mad at him for taking a deal elsewhere. People are just realistic that he's not getting it here.  I wouldn't pay him more than 10 a year for four years.  He seems to be a funny charismatic good dude and an above average corner but he isn't worth what he wants. That deal would hurt the TEAM, that's why I wouldn't have a bit of an issue with letting him walk.  Now if he goes to another team on the cheap, then I would be bitter.
