Kevin Norwood...the invisible man

Guy played in one game, ball off hands was intercepted. Never saw the field again, inactive for fourteen games. Guy is only twenty six and a fourth round pick. I figured that Getts and RR didn't want to surrender a draft pick by playing him, not so sure anymore.

Either he needed a lot of polish or he just sucks. He is still on the payroll so they must have something planned for him. Keep him through training camp and let him play during preseason.....see what he's got??? Very strange they just stowed him away and has hardly been mentioned by RR, Getts or anyone.

young player who got traded beginning of season in a complex offense. they thought he might be able to transition quickly while we re-tooled from Benji and Funch's slow start. same thing with McNutt and King, you gotta get them an offseason and then duke it out.

Delaire got one game against his former team and then puttered out from there to inactive. Allen is HOF vet.

He has a chance to be the Cotch/Bersin guy.

The case of the missing Norwood. Comes in very early in the year. Drops the only pass thrown his way for an INT. And is never heard from again. I mean? WTF? If you don't trust him, don't put him in just so he can fail. Because if you did trust him, he would have been given an opportunity to redeem himself.

You have 3 you can pencil in. KB, Fun Fun, and Teddy. You need 2 more. Brown would have to lead the pack at this point in time. So there are spots open for some kid to make his own. Who can put in the work needed to make it impossible to let him go? Can Hill finally fulfill his potential? Can Norwood become the player they envisioned when they signed him?

Which is why I believe we won't add a Vet WR until after the draft. If at all. If we add a kid, we really don't need the Vet. If we miss out on a WR, we may well need a Vet. We have a few kids we need to look at. And with our top 3 set. This is the year to do so.

IMO, it will be KB, Funchess, Ginn, and our draft pick, assuming we draft a receiver.

Brown, Hamilton, Hill, UDFA's, Byrd, Bersin and Norwood will fight it out for the final roster spot and/or practice squad  I believe Bersin, Brown, and Hill do not quality for the practice squad.

If I had to guess, my money is on Brown to make the active roster and Byrd to make the PS again.

With Benjamin, Funchess, Brown, Ginn and likely Hill all set for 2016 I doubt we have a room for another WR.

I agree with your top 4. And I would love for Hill to finally put it all together. As I has been sayin'. We have a bunch of kids we need to look at. We may not bring in a Vet WR at all this year. Although I wouldn't rule out us drafting another 1 if the right kid is there.

But at least with our top 4ish set. We have a good year to be able to look at the kids.

Coming from a former student at the Universtiy of Alabama, I was lucky enough to watch Kevin Norwood play.  Of course I'll admit he is no Julio Jones or Amari Cooper - but I can't deny that I have at least two memories of some dank catches in college.  1). Being a backwards catch during a UA UT game in 2013. 2). Being a nice catch during the UA LSU game in 2013.

Kevin has played for a great coach, Saban. Kevin has played in big moments and made big plays during his time at UA.  For those reasons I hope that time with Ricky, Cam and an entire summer he can flourish into a great Ther.  As a final omission, I put my head between my legs when the tipped pass led to the INT.  Embarrassing moment for the Tide.
