Boykin Visiting

I read this thread title and I came.....

...to see what you all thought. Clearly we are in agreement. He is the free agent I wanted most, and I really wanted us to draft him back when he came out of college. He seems like he would be a great addition. I mean, who doesn't like a little Boykin' now and then?

Boykin had to have wanted to wait to start his free agency process until late March, because he should be signed up already. Maybe this is why the Panthers have been holding their money. There was mutual interest but Boykin was on vacation or something. This would be a huge get for our secondary.

Probably be using a pick on a WR in the draft rather than in the FA.  Got some big contracts coming up soon.  Need to save all we can.

I think we can afford to get a WR in FA. Drafting a WR usually means he needs more time to develop. We really could use a known commodity at the WR position since next season is a really good shot for us to win it all. I wouldn't mind drafting one if it also meant getting one in FA too.

Dave's not the one for the "one shot" type of year, but a lasting, solid team for years to come. I can see us getting a WR via FA, as long as the price is right. He's not gonna overpay for a position we're in an okay position at.

Kevin Norwood.  He played the clutch, possession, good teammate role like a champ at Bama.  Now he's a cheap, young, vet with time in our system.

I don't get much of the WR talk. We have Kelvin coming back and according to Ron in position to have a breakout year. We have a well developing Devin Funches entering his sophomore year on the other side after a moderately successful rookie season, and a potential shot with Stephen HIll also coming off injury. Not to mention the additional wide outs still on the roster.

What more do people want this coming season? We saw what Cam did last season with what he had to work with and he danced his ass right into a Super Bowl.
