"Strong interest" in LB Josh Forrest

I think of depth as someone that can play the position their assigned to well and not only a special teamer.  If he's special teams only, I don't count it as depth. Jacobs is terrible as a LB. Mayo is still learning but he has a steep mountain to climb.

Yea, us resigning Jacobs was a head scratcher, but of course, G-Man knows what he's doing.  However, I think most would rather have a LB that can actually play well on the field and on special teams, not just special teams.  So I'm all for drafting a LB and maybe we'll get lucky and Brian Blechen will make some noise.  Anybody other than Jacobs.

I wouldn't be shocked. We heard murmurs about Shaq but we dismissed them because he was an undersized hybrid. Rivera is still seeking his safety. I wouldn't be surprised if we took him in the first or if we traded up in the second for him.

I agree. I think that trading up in the second to get him should be on everyone's mind. If Dodd is the pick at 30 and G-man gives Cravens a first round grade, I would be looking for the "come up".

I would be VERY surprised if G-Man takes Cravens in the first.  I could see us trading up in the 2nd, because we all know G-Man loves to trade.  But I'm hoping we won't have to and that he'll be there for our original pick in the 2nd.

I'm a BPA advocate, doesn't matter the position, but with Boykin, Dodd, and Cravens we would have the best D in football by a long shot.  Sprinkle in a dose of Kraken and Alex Trebek would have our 2016 D in its own category someday.  Here's hoping JR blowing off the owners meetings is a true sign he doesn't GAF.

i have to imagine that a first round d lineman is gonna be there at 30 and that we won't waste any time snatching him up. but seriously could see another jump for Cravens in the 2nd. but, if no d-line, Cravens could be taken.

OR what if we give Josh to the Raiders for their 1st-- take a d-line/bpa there, then Cravens at 30?

OR we move Klein to a team for their 3rd and use it as trade up ammo for Cravens.
