You guys are idiots. Vic Beasley might not be as good as Von Miller, but he is going to be good as fug

Upshaw turned 26 in December, young, the Falcons all of a sudden have two young, outstanding pass rushers

he has 5 sacks in 4 seasons he isn't a pass rusher. Beasley may be good and become great, but Upshaw as a LB isn't gonna solve any pass rush or honestly any pressure on the D line.

No not my SuperBowl but beating the 3x NFCs Champs is definitely a step in the right direction. 8-8 overall, 1-5 in conference play, if we could beat the other NFCs teams we'd be in decent shape.

Eh, 2 weeks before that game the falcons got shutout 38-0. Plus just watching how far the falcons fell after a 5-0 start, to sitting at home on their couches come playoff time. They don't seem to be able to be competitive on a consistent basis. I'm not a believer in the Falcons having their year yet anytime soon.

it seems like the falcons are always bringing in some FA that's allgedly going to shore up their pass rush.  ray edwards, osi umenyiora, then tyson jackson and soliai, now someone between clayborn, shelby, and upshaw.  pardon me for being skeptical.

Every offseason one or more of our rivals signs of good player, or somebody that people think is a good player, or somebody that people think is going to be a good player, and somebody starts biting their nails.

This is how the offseason works. Other teams get better. So do we. And given that we were the second best team in the league last year, we actually start off with an advantage.

I don't expect the annual ritual of people fretting over a player vet signed somewhere else to stop anytime soon, but a least there doesn't seem to be as much as past years.

The question we have to ask ourselves now is does Ron have it in him to have an actual open competition at RT this TC or does his open affection for mike remmers even in spite of the fact that he's a a bad player net the guy the job and the opportunity to cost the team more games

Shouldnt be a problem if we can let of guys like Smith, D-Lo, Charles...etc.  Daryl will win the job.

Falcons are moving in the right direction and will likely be the main rival of the Panthers for the next several years as the Saints are in rebuilding mode with no cap and the Bucs are starting over from square one.

Your poo posting abilities never cease to amaze me...

grow up infantile. He was rated 60th out of all graded OTs last year. That isn't "oh man he's a solid player" or "I admire the way he holds down the fort"

That's being bad at your job. And his blowing the Atlanta game and the super bowl could be a bigger claim to fame via ineptitude than any player in the history of the sport, but that's just me grinding an Axe. He's a bad football player  who starts for your favorite team. Deal with it.

Those decisions were made by Gettleman. The decision of who starts on Sunday comes down to the head coach, who even in spite of his strengths, will still consistently field bad players over better players because they get rowdy in training camp or perform other stupid cliches.

Every team is trying to get better, Upshaw may help the Falcons D. The division is going to be tougher this year in my opinion. All the teams have made decent moves so far. The Panthers haven't made any splash moves but Gettleman has a way of picking up a few key veterans after the draft to bring into camp.
