WOW.  Now if only we could expand the roster to 60 players!

Maybe it was snagging the two Henry's that got you an A!  (Maybe Jeremy is a secret grader of First-Pick mock drafts!  LOL!)

No doubt would be happy with this mock but Hunter Henry will not last into 3rd round. If he does I would be shocked. Still a fun game to play ;+)

Looking at Carolina's cap numbers:  Kahlil is 31 and 2nd highest cap number, JStew is third, TD is 4th.  If Ryan Kelly is available at 30 he could be a surprise pick there.  Not saying they immediately dump Kahlil but I still see Kelly is possible.  Also, we are ok at RB and LB for now...they could wait and go RB next year if they want to move on from JStew.

Another big need that could definitely be addressed early is OT.

Not very fun but 2 OL picks would not surprise me much if the right players drop.

I brought this up in another thread, the other day. Gettleman mentioned Kelly in his press conference and I have seen him mocked as high as 15th overall. He could back up Kalil and probably at guard this season, then take over in 2017. It just stinks, up until a week ago we though we had Josh this year and I hadn't thought about losing Kalil. That's a hole at two (currently) high level positions. Unless Kalil is willing to sign for (significantly) less money, you could save $8 million or so at that position.

Agree with you on Kahlil...looking at the salaries we do have quite a few guys with fairly low cap numbers that are studs starting with KK.  I guess the Sua Cravens supposed interest could make some sense esp if can play SS in the NFL.  I know we just picked a dude kinda like him but not sure how many more years TD plays either.  We can get RB next year unless we can find a gem later in this draft (like Keith Marshall the more I look at him as a steal).

How would the Panthers feel about this draft?

Round 2 Pick 7 (JAX): Vernon Butler, DT/DE, Louisiana Tech (A-)
Round 2 Pick 18 (BUF): Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama (A)
Round 3 Pick 6 (JAX): Su'a Cravens, OLB/SS, Southern California (A)
Round 4 Pick 31: Harlan Miller, CB, Southeastern Louisiana (A-)
Round 7 Pick 31: Drew Kaser, P, Texas A&M (A)

Henry is projected to be a early 2nd rounder, I dont think cravens drops to the 3rd round. I like those players though. Its kinda funny how everybodys mocking us to automatically get cravens and miller now lol. Just cuz we showed a lot of interest doesnt mean were taking them

The more I think about needs and position talent in this draft and next, I would hold off on Henry.  I think there is a real possibility he is there in round 2 and still not sure if we would pick him.  We need OL and DL most.  Gettlemen will find a CB somewhere although if they pick Will Jackson I'm good with that.
