I spent like 2 hours doing this thing the other night and only got an "A" draft once at the end. I think I had 5 WRs, 2 RBs and 1 CB in that draft. Suffice to say, I learned that their grading is based purely on where you take the player vs where they have that player ranked in their hidden rankings and has nothing to do with need or even quantity. One time I traded everything and got Jalen Ramsey and the next time I traded everything except the 2nd round pick and got Jalen Ramsey and another good player and the first draft had the higher grade. One would think that Jalen Ramsey + another player would be better than just Jalen Ramsey but what do I know. It's fun to mess around with but the trading and pure number of picks you can amass is not really realistic.

And it only merits a B.  LOL!!!!

Goodness, I hate to think how Gettleman might injure himself if he could somehow get an EVEN BETTER draft than that.  He'd die laughing.... or at least break his arm high fiving every person in the Panthers' war room 100 times.

I think we're more likely to trade up again this year than down. It's getting harder and harder to find spots on the 53 for rookies as the team continually gets more talented. A few years ago we were keeping several undrafted players, even finding a few starters. Conversely last year, even though we traded from 9 picks to 5, we just didn't have that room anymore; and the UDFAs we did keep (Wegher/Marlowe) were basically red-shirted. There was a real possibility one of the draft picks (Mayo) wouldn't even make the cut. 

And this year we're even more talented. I'm sure we'll bring in several UDFAs, but - realistically - I'm not sure we'll have the space for any of them should we actually draft 6 players. I'm thinking we're more likely to draft about 4, probably making another Funchess-esque trade into the 40s to grab one of the many guys in that range we're seemingly interested in.

I think this draft like many is pretty even from 15-75. I wouldn't mind maximizing the number, plan for a potential bust, and increase competition in TC.
