Questioning Jakes arm still??

I questioned his arm too after the surgery, but go back and look at that throw he made to Rosario when we beat San Diego last year. If don't ever recall him throwing that hard and tight to anyone, EVER. He made a few other throws during last season that really surprised me how strong his arm was as well.

But, perhaps it comes and goes... Or it may just be his accuracy overall. Maybe it's only his decision making. Like others have said, I think this is definitely more mental than physical, b/c he's made throws that show he's still got a lot of strength and zip on them... So, the only explanation could be for the erratic throws is his indecisiveness and lack of confidence.

Judging from the Eagles game alone, it looks like he didn't have the strength on the deep out or the deep ball. Maybe they were just bad throws, but you see a bunch of short / underthrown balls in a row, you start to think it's something physical.

It's hard to throw with someone in your face or when you are backpedalling. Heck, ask Carr, he made a career out of it.

Want to know if it was Jake? Do two things: watch him play against Atlanta and watch the Eagles game this week.

Jake will face a defense that relies heavily on Johnathan Abraham rather than a mix of wild blitzes. The Falcons have a more traditional defense which can give a better idea of his abilities than a gambling, blitzing defense would. Of course, the Georgia Dome is a tough place to play and the carpet there can be very, very fast.

On the other hand, the Eagles face New Orleans and the golden boy Drew Brees. If Brees has a mess of problems, then maybe its that the Eagles defense is just that good. I mean, the Eagles D is playing in honor of their former defensive coordinator who died from cancer in the off season.

Let's just wait and watch... we'll see a lot more evidence one way or the other this weekend.

But dang, it is wayyyyy too early to throw away a quarterback or a season.
