How old is your primary TV?

Well, I purchased a 60" Samsung on Thanksgiving last year.  Thank God I purchased it from Costco because the screen had image retention problems last month...about a week away from the 90 day return policy or whatever it is.  Called Costco who transferred me to Samsung  who had a certified company come out and fix it the next week for free.  I don't know if I got a lemon or what, but my Vizio I purchased in 2007 is still going strong.

I keep a 42in Samsung LCD mounted outside year round in the elements.

No cover, it just sits under an overhang and streams Netflix and sports like a boss.

It has survived a year outside. I think I paid like $300 for it(?).  I was planning on building a weather proof box around it, but they are so cheap nowadays that I will just buy it, if it craps out, but it seems to be holding up.

If it's warm, and not cold, after we put the kids to bed, we chill on the back deck every night and usually watch TV.

All the HDMI ports are dead on my six year old LED. I had to rearrange so my cable box is connected via component and all my other stuff (consoles, roku) is connected to other, smaller TVs in different rooms.

I'm currently waiting on more HDR models to hit the market before replacing. I currently have my eye on a Sony model, whatever their version of quantum dots is called.

However, to avoid being on the losing end of a format war, I'm making sure it's compatible with both HDR and Dolby Vision.

I bought a used TV from Craigslist from a guy who's business went down and this was 6 years ago so the TV is probably closer to 10 years old now. It is a 55" Westinghouse Plasma flatscreen. It is still working but you can see burnt images on the screen where the inputs are from the TV being left on. Still a great tv but will probably go towards a smart tv
