Two guys I've never even heard of, Chris Burke and Jeremy Ego are the only picks I don't dislike.  (I like them both a lot).

Guessing they are Artie Burns and LeRaven Clark.

Burns is the round 2-3 CB who blew up the combine running 4.3 and gets 1st round hype. Not exactly a Gettleman type pick.

Clark is just a hilariously bad OT that has the perfect measurables. Arm length, height, weight, athleticism. He is the definition of a project. If you can find tape of the Senior Bowl practices, he just gets repeatedly clowned by everyone. He is like TJ Clemmings from last year. Has all the measurables you want but can't play.

Think it's more likely to be something like the reverse of Jeremy's first mock draft with a DE like Lawson taken by us at 30 and then trading up in the 2nd to get Henry (or ideally him falling to our pick). I just don't think Henry will be the BPA at any time in the 1st round for us. No clue what our big board looks like but I'd bet Henry is in the 20s or 30s of our big board and someone in front of him slips to our spot at 30. Maybe not, but we'll see. Henry's actually grown on me after watching some more of him. I love the idea of getting a TE considering how bad Dickson is at blocking and how essential that is for a TE in our offense, and also considering Olsen's age. Just not quite convinced Henry is that guy necessarily yet or that he's worth a 1st rounder. If that's what DG does though, I'm 100% behind it. Before last draft I didn't like the idea of drafting Funchess at all, and was shocked when we traded up for him. But after it happened I was 100% behind it, and after what he showed this year, it was a great move. If Henry is the pick I hope it works out the same.

Hunter Henry is my fav pick for the draft whether we get him in the 1st or 2nd round I don't care! Dream scenario I would like to see is Hunter Henry & Jonathan Bulldard  combo punch. They can help the team  in multiple ways by alivating pressure from OT's in run or pass blocking  to  sliding into 3 tech DT. Their ability to contribute in multiple ways allows the team flexbility and maximum usage out of the picks. Looking forward to draft day and hope the "Stars"  align for the Panthers.

On a another note Paul Soliai signing was not only good depth, but a way too truly mentor Lotuleli.  The seem to have similar playing style , power, and build. Lookign forward to Star having a breakout season with sacks # from 2013 or more.

I have no idea if this is a factor at all in Gettleman's thinking or not, but one thing to keep in mind with regards to Henry is that next years TE class is absolutely stacked. There's at least 3 and up to 5 that would be the top TE in this years class. My guess would be that it isn't a factor at all but it very well maybe for other GMs and possibly push the TEs down some if they don't really have a need at the position and think they can just get a great one next year. It's not really a premium position so they may think they can just get by with what they've got.

Nobody like Alexander? Decker would be nice. Burns and Henry seem a little high for 30. Apple or Dodd sound about right for their draft spits. After all the years of experts wanting to mock us a TE, I find it funny so many appear high on us selecting Henry. Especially after Olsens extension and back to back pro bowls. We can find someone to groom later on. If not for Chud, Barnidge would probably still be here.
