Brazil seems to be in love with the name Gabriel...

He seems like an interesting prospect. I wonder if he'll be Silva's successor.

If he gets his poo together, he will.  Very fast physical players...  But makes mental errors sometimes.  If he can fix mental errors, watch out.

I'm not so sure. Gabigol reminds me alittle bit of R9. While he lacks pace, dribbling and flair, Gabigol seems more like a potential high level poacher/striker. Jesus lacks Gabigol's leg strength and physicality.

Gabigol is slow but have a great balance and physical.  His shooting power also sucks.  Reminds of a poor man Lacazette.  He needs a right system to succeed.

It'll be interesting to see if we land Jesus. Although I desire a CF/ST, we do need to address our flanks for the future. CR7 isn't getting any younger and Bale is injury-prone. Hopefully Jesus is Neymar-esque but I'm not gonna put that label on him yet.

They just bought back Morata. Unless you don't think he can be the first choice ST in the future I'm not sure why they would need one desperately. Benz will likely play at least 1-2 more seasons at Madrid and by then, Morata should be more than ready to be the first choice 9.

Yes sir folks, and the hits just keep rolling... apparently, N'Koudou is most likely joining us from Ligue 1 - Marseille. This helps strengthen another spot for us, as he's a speedy outside player with an equal attack from either foot. This will pair well with him on the left, moving Erikson back to CAM for the most part, where he prefers to play anyways. It will also help alleviate some pressure, and give any of our starting three a chance to rest some games and/or direct competition.

This has been a terrific window for us, and the only thing I can see that would be the icing on the cake is to go out and nab another backup Center Back, preferably RCB, to help spell "The Hero" Toby for a few games.

I have never been this happy with a window for us, and it's still only the first half! So there may be even more good news. Man, I am so stoked for this upcoming season!!

It appears Madrid are going after Gomes... yuck. Talk about going after the wrong Portuguese midfielder. Neves is 18 but if we ever wanted a Xabi replacement this is it. Meanwhile, Gomes lost his starting job to Sanches. No thanks. We need a LB and now a CB too.

Here's one thing we'll easily agree on. Neves at half the cost is light years better than Gomes with his rumored price. Not really stoked about Gomes at all.

Pogba at 120 is a much better purchase than Gomes at 65.

Just saying...

Saw this today, and just shook my head. I don't care who he is, that's way too much money for anyone. With that price tag, he'd better poo gold and have it fly by itself into the net.

Pogba is worth closer to what he'll be sold for than Gomes is. So yes, Pogba is a better purchase.

Oh I don't disagree with his being the more valuable player. I'm just at a loss as to how they could spend that much on one guy. That's more than the entire budget/cost of some other EPL teams... the entire team.

To me, that's just flooring to even think about.

My comment was about value in the purchase though. Andre Gomes is worth about 20-25 million imo, and the reported fee is around 65. Pogba is an 85-95 million Euro player based on the current market and his abilities. All things considered, I would rather overspend on a World Class player than overspend on a rotational player.
