Reus can play Winger, Striker and CAM. Funny, isn't Bale made of glass too? I seem to remember Bale acquiring injury after injury this season AND last. So please...

Pogba can play DM against certain teams, CM, CAM or on the wing in spells. Did all the above at Juve throughout the course of his time there.

Yea, Bale does pick up a lot of injuries....

So what you're saying is you want two players that will likely miss extended stretches? Taking Pogba out of the equation, that's not very smart for a team that will hope to play around 60 matches. World Class players or not.

Ideally they finish the summer with

Pogba

keep Morata or sell him and sign a younger ST while expecting Benz to get the lions share of minutes

Talk Jese into being one of the first subs off the bench every match (though it seems virtually certain he's leaving on loan)

Get a backup FB for when Marcelo needs a rest or picks up knocks (my preference here would be Wendell because they'll have to spend far too much to get Gaya)

Probably sell James (unfortunately as he showed he still has a touch of class at the Copa) and one another Mid....guessing City comes in with a stupid offer for Kroos or Isco (again unfortunately). If they sell Morata and James they can easily afford to keep Kroos/Isco though.

We need a better rotation for the BBC. It always seems like our boys are getting banged up. Also Ronaldo's minutes are about to decline as well in order to preserve him for another potential 2-3 years. Jese and Vazquez are decent options but they don't provide that much needed spark. Plus, it would benefit Marco too. He wouldn't need to play too many minutes either.

According to reports, Pogba won't play DM for us at all. He'll replace James at the CM/CAM position and likely send Casemiro to the bench. Kroos would play DM (I guess we're gonna try to mold him like Xabi since he's our engine). That would upset the balance though. Toni isn't the greatest defender.

I think what you would get is Kroos at DM against majority of La Liga with Casemiro getting some starts here and there to keep him fresh. Then against teams like Atletico/Barca and key CL fixtures you would have Casemiro at DM and one of Kroos/Modric/Pogba on the bench. I don't think that would upset the balance much at all tbh. As long as you had a destroyer like Casemiro (or dare I even suggest Kante) in front of the CB for key fixtures.

That's what scares me. Choosing between Modric or Kroos in key fixtures is a bit risky. Kroos is our engine, Modric is our creator and Casemiro is our destroyer. I think that is the perfect midfield line up for most opponents. There's so much fluidity with those three in the 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3.

I would love Kante, especially since his buyout clause is like 25-30m. Not bad. He'd definitely be an upgrade.

I think if you buy Pogba you would see him play Modric's role in some fixtures. Gives Modric the rest a 30+ year old player needs over the course of a season, and that's probably where Pogba can impact the game the most. Purchasing Pogba is as much for the future as it is the present. Barca didn't NEED Rakitic when they bought him, but he's become an integral part of their lineup since getting there.

Now a player like Kante you could make a case as a "need", as there's nobody behind Casemiro who is a true destroyer. Granted, Kante would replace Casemiro in the starting lineup I believe.

What the poo? We actually got a striker that fits our profile perfectly, and can challenge Kane, and a DM for when Dier gets tired and/or can partner with?

And it's only mid-July?? Welcome to Bizarro World Spurs fans!!!

Moussa Sissoko will likely end up in Arsenal.  He's been asking Wenger for 2 years to come and get him but Newcastle wants 35M pounds for him which would be record breaking fee for someone from lower division...  Arsenal just sold Hayden to Newcastle who plays the same position as Sissoko so Sissoko is good as gone. As soon as Newcastle drop their asking price to 18M, Sissoko will move.

Real Madrid's first signing could be Gabriel, but not the one originally rumored. Instead it will be Gabriel Jesus, the 19 year old from Palmeiras. Palmeiras' club President is reported to be in Madrid finalizing the move, which will see Gabriel loaned back to Palmeiras until the Winter of 2017.

There's another one. He'll be playing with the one above and Neymar at the Olympics. To be honest I prefer the other one (Gabigol).

Neymar - Gabigol - Jesus

That's Brazil's new attacking front, and likely the future.

Arsenal also have Gabriel who will likely be starting CB for Brazil in 1-2 years.

Jesus is much more of a Neymar type player than Gabigol tbh. Gabigol's ceiling is probably a slightly superior Hulk. He doesn't have the pace or dribbling ability as Gabriel Jesus.

I'm not so sure. Gabigol reminds me alittle bit of R9. While he lacks pace, dribbling and flair, Gabigol seems more like a potential high level poacher/striker. Jesus lacks Gabigol's leg strength and physicality.

I mean they're going to play different positions if/when they get to Europe. Gabigol will be a striker or CF and Gabriel Jesus will be more of a Winger/Attacking Mid because of his dribbling, pace and creativity.
