Reading about Gotze, looks like it was personal decision.  Maybe he was promised more playing time?

Don't see any good reason for him to stay in Munich.  Remember, Ozil said he's not going no where 2 days before he was sold to Arsenal.  He got all summer to change his mind.

It's possible Gotze's plans are to wait until after Euros to decide. We'll see though. I'm just going to assume the deal is dead at this point.

Xhaka is officially introduced on Arsenal website.  Looks like Arsenal is done doing transfer business until after Euros.

I was looking at some Opta stats on Xhaka. He's very, very similar to Emre Can. A commanding, deep-lying midfield presence is exactly what Arsenal needs. He did get 3 red cards last year though haha.

Yea, he's very nasty sometimes.  Very physical.  Arsenal been missing his quality for years.

Yep could be.

Also- apparently Bayern's chief executive sounded shocked. He was like "He knows what the club and Ancelotti are thinking. He has to decide for himself whether he wants to play continuously. Maybe he just wants to play Euros without unquietude."

Liverpool and Gotze had agreed to a £175,000/week contract before Gotze's dad stepped in and they sacked his agent. Gotze's father doesn't want him to leave Germany and apparently wants him to hold out for Dortmund switch. Dortmund will apparently give him a large sign-on fee since they won't have to pay a transfer fee.

Gotze-Bayern relationship is reportedly getting quite bitter.

Atheltico Madrid tried to get Xhaka last year but Xhaka turned them down....

Barcelona wants Hector Berrelin who establish himself as top RB in the world.  Neither Hector nor Arsenal want the move but if Barca offers £70M.  Arsenal might pull a trigger.

Juve officially announced they are in the market for striker...  I guess Morata is leaving.  Juve almost guaranteed to play Dybala up-top with Morata being a bench guy.  Wenger is willing to pay Madrid  £35M for Morata.  Madrid can make  £10M out of thin air.

Wenger is busy...  Gibbs is about to be sold and Wenger is trying to sign Ricardo Rodriguez, one of the best young LBs in Germany.  If Wenger can achieve that, Arsenal D will be stout! Wolfsburg will likely ask for £30M-£40M.

No LB in the world is worth £40m. You'd be better suited trying to lure Jonas Hector than pay £40m for Rodriguez.

David Luis £50M changed that.  He was not even that great.
