One other note regarding the unsportsmanlike conduct change.

Josh Norman only drew relatively few of those this season, but my sense is that he drew more than any other Panther in 2015 (I'd have to look it up to be certain).

Something keeps popping into my head.  I can't help thinking back to how the change in 'enforcement' of the illegal contact rule pretty much destroyed Ricky Manning Jr's effectiveness as a corner.

I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say that this rule change would have a similar effect on Josh Norman's game, but I do wonder if it blunts him a little bit.  For example, if he gets one unsportsmanlike call early in the game, will he become more cautious in an effort to avoid the next one.

Like I said, I'm not about to predict doom and gloom on this, but it's one of those thoughts that'll likely stick in the back of my head up till the season starts and we see what happens.

Has anyone mentioned that kickers may try to kick it to the 1 now and force a return?

On a punt, probably, on a kickoff you don't dare let the ball hit the ground. That ball is live and you can't predict how it will bounce.
