Touchbacks at the 25, automatic ejections happening

What I find most interesting is the tweaked IR/designated to return rule. Now you don't have to designate the player ahead of time, you can simply reactivate a player who's been on IR at least 6 weeks.

Certainly helps prevent situations where a team designates a player ahead of time but their recovery hits a snag.

I dont know if they are but If they are going to eject for facemasking twice they need to bring back the 5 yard incidental facemask penalty. It would suck to accidentally grab a facemask and get tossed just the same as somebody who is trying to rip a player's head off. (Yes I'm talking about that douchebag talib)

Which leads to refs possibly being less willing to call that second facemask knowing that the ultimate penalty doesn't match the crime.

They aren't. It's a very narrow group of personal fouls that can lead to an ejection. 5 total I think. Most of them involve fighting, taunting or verbal abuse of the ref or another player. Helmet to helmet hits aren't even one of them.

I don't understand what is gained by moving the touchbacks up.

It makes it not worth it to take the ball out of the endzone. They'll bring it out a few yards deep if they think they can get to the 22-23.

I'd rather the ejection rule be for three unsportsmanlike penalties. Two in 60 minutes isn't that hard. We may see some big playmakers kicked out of the game on some very questionable calls this year.

Another perfect way of having the refs cheat us out of a game I suspect.

If it were me, I'm purposely kicking to the 1 yard line to encourage a runner. The possibility to tackle someone pre-25 yard line is high, especially if I have a good special teams group. That's 5 yards closer to my endzone that I'm trying to defend. So, in turn...I see the opposite result of what they are looking for.
