The best rock song of all time

This isn't a goat rock n roll song but I just found this dude and he might be the next big thing. I'm pretty sure he just does a ton of producing big names. Like the Alabama shakes and Dawes. But man this guys tone and the way he textures it with his singing is incredible. I was awe struck.

Very Jim James-esque

This is a hard question.  I figured I'd put a few in a few of my faves from various eras in rock. I'm a sucker for lush slight distortion on guitars with a good composition and some experimental elements.   Having a good breakdown or solo is always a must as well.

I guess the singing to an extent. The guitar playing is something much different. The guy is a prodigy but in the sense that he doesn't act like it when he's playing, if that makes sense.

Theres a number of videos of him on YouTube. He talks a lot about people playing the guitar to sound like their idols, which is fine, instead of playing the guitar to see what sounds you can create on your own. Like he studies different instruments and weird concepts and tries to get that sound on the guitar. He's really interesting to listen too. People have called him the closest thing to Hendrix, which I know sounds cliche but if you listen to him more you kind of understand where people are coming from.

Btw he was 19 years old when that video was published on YouTube. Incredible. Some people are just born to play the guitar.

It's not my favorite rock song, but if I think it classifies as "rock" and is probably the great song ever, because of impact and that it'll still be played 50 years from today:

Honorable mention to:

(posted this version because Prince shreds it on the cover)
