Why? I thought he supported it? A team is there now.

JR was on the "move to L.A." committee of 6 NFL owners, and they had 2 proposals to ponder before making a recommendation which proposal was better. JR favored the Carson project that wanted the Raiders and Chargers, and convinced the committee to see it his way. They voted 5-1 in favor of recommending the Carson proposal. The Inglewood proposal for the Rams was not recommended, but it's the one the 32 NFL owners voted to accept. So JR is probably ticked off at the other owners for ignoring his recommendation.

I see now and I would be angry as well. I am in the camp that believes the NFL and NBA has something against the Carolina area. Media is in on it as well. Constant bashing of our teams from front office to the roster. Not saying it is a vast conspiracy they just dislike us.

Can't say it's dislike. More like best for business. Audience = revenue in the media. New York is the media center of the USA, so they set the tone. Our team beats a New York team? No one in New York cares about Carolina being better. That won't sell copy and get clicks. But Carolina winning dubiously? That's something New Yorkers will care about, and more importantly, pay to read about.

If we would have been a good little small market team and just done what we were supposed to do and lost to the Giants last year, the whole Odell thing wouldn't have been so bitter to New Yorkers. That bitterness led to all the stories coming out about the bat in pre-game and poor, defenseless Odell feeling bullied by those inbreds from some Southern hick state. "How dare they threaten the home-town golden boi hero like that?! We demand answers!! Carolina is just flyover country between New York and Florida. There's no way they could have won without cheating"  And then the national media picks it up because that's what is being said in New York, and there you go. A national narrative is created about the "thugs" in Charlotte.

My thing is they do not do it with other smaller markets. That is why I think it is a dislike. I personally would rather live no where else than in Carolina. To each his own though. Just feel the dislike from media and the leagues. We do have 17 million people in the two states so not exactly small.

Every fan base in the league thinks the league and media is biased against their teams. No one hates the panthers or treats them unfairly. I find it ridiculous when people were calling NFL radio saying everyone hates the panthers and are out to get the Panthers. That could not be further from the truth.

now cam newton is a completely different story. People hate him and are out to get him. But quite frankly no ones cares about the Panthers when they are bad. As much as we don't like to hear it, no one gives the panthers a thought when they are bad. And when they are good, well all fan bases hate successful franchises.

i noticed that too.  it seemed like a lot of the media outlets wanted to frame josh norman up as the bad guy, brought up the bat incident, showed the same clip of the pushing and shoving at the top of a broken off route, etc.  the discussion of odell beckham running full bore at josh norman after a play was over and trying to break his fuging neck by earholing him when he wasn't looking was secondary.

I'll fill in for Big Cat. I'm off tomorrow AND I live only 15 minutes away from Boca Raton.

Booyah!

I live IN Boca. I'm thinking of putting my stalkering ability to use and sneaking in for some festivities.

Used to live in Boca (Inherited a home from my mom... and made that my US home base for 11 years: 1999 - 2010).  But those were part of my football wasteland years.  Didn't follow any team back them, though honestly, I DID root for the Panthers in the 2004 SB.

But it took my move to Charlotte, and drafting Cam and Luke and all the excitement that brought to get me interested in (or should I say obsessed with?  LOL!) football again.
