Read an article that said he turned a lot of teams off in his interviews because he looked, sounded and acted "like a stoner".

One of my best friends in college went to high school with both the NKemdiche brothers (Grayson HS) so I constantly heard stories about them. From getting in brawls at Panama City Spring Break, Robbing a Frat house, Denzel having sex with the assistant coaches wife in high school. They are horrible human beings. 0% chance he will be a panther, not do I want him to be

He has the potential to have a Burfect-type drop.  Even then, I wouldn't want him even as an UDFA.

He is one of the top 3 or if not the best in the draft. You look for those freaks. No one moves that way at 300 pounds. He is faster than Short, more athletic. He will be one of the most balanced defensive players in the league. Guy can play inside outside and even fall back and catch a INT. You guys are worried about pot, not coke, not pounding whiskey. 90 percent of college kids in the draft smoke whether you like it or not. 

 

Lets talk football. Robert and Hargraves are head and shoulders above anyone else. This will be a draft where we maybe get 2 great guys who can contribute. The rest are worth cutting. Be picky, choose the once every draft players. Example Cam. Example Shaq. You need an edge to win in the NFL.

Weaknesses

For all the talent and athletic traits, his production was disappointing. Produced low tackle totals and just 6.5 sacks over three years. Never forced or recovered a fumble. Ducks head into initial off snap losing track of the ball. Tightly ­wound, straight-line athlete who needs play to stay inside his optimal area of movement. Inconsistent effort after his initial pass rush move is thwarted. Needs to develop a counter rush move. Was suspended for Sugar Bowl after being arrested and charged with marijuana a possession. Scouting community has serious concerns about his personal character and work ethic.

If you want to be considered a once a draft player our team wants you not only have to have good character and judgement but you need to produce at some point.  I had no idea how little he had actually done. It's all wishful thinking with this guy.

Even ignoring his off-field problems, plural, getting only 6.5 sacks in 3 years means his college game film isn't good. Drops him to round 2. Now add the off-field problems, plural, and he drops to round 4. But some GM not named Gettleman will fall in love with his Combine and Pro Day workout numbers and draft him before round 4. He gets paid, then doesn't care about working hard in the NFL. His team will miss the playoffs, possibly costing the head coach and GM their jobs.

I mean, we are talking about a draft prospect dealing wholly on POTENTIAL. Potential with problems. What is the dealio with this kid that folks are so fascinated?

 

Maybe, just maybe, he is talking like this to teams he doesn't want to play for? And when it comes to teams he likes, he interviews well? Is he then being smart? Or do teams think he is too sneaky? And add that to the character concerns?

 

Potentially, this kid has the tools. The problem is. No one has seen them. Going to be interesting to see when and where he goes?

This guy is still getting all this press based on what he did when he was in high school.  If he hadn't come out of HS as the number 1 rated prospect he would be on nobodies draft board, at least not til perhaps the third day.
