Anyone like going to Music Festivals?

For many years I thought Music Festivals were for hippies/hipsters only. Well, after attending a bunch over the last few years, I can tell you they are pretty awesome.

A few years ago, I won some tickets to Music Midtown and saw Pearl Jam and a few other bands. This was my first big music festival.  Since then, I have been to:

Music Midtown (multiple times)

Shakey Knees Festival

420 Fest

Southern Ground Music & Food Fest

Upcoming Festivals I plan on attending

Bonaroo

Hangout Fest (I'm doing it this year, this one looks bad ass, it's on the beach, literally)  check out this years promo...

So, if you like seeing/hearing live music, don't mind crowds, enjoy seeing crazy poo, can handle 2-3 days of partying, then I guarantee you, you will enjoy music festivals.

I like going to country, folk-type of festivals more than the Bonnaroos. Don't get me wrong their lineups are sick. I just prefer a more family friendly type of festival now. And they're much cheaper.

merlefest this year just added Jason isbell which is mind-shattering for me. I'm so excited. Old crow and John prine will be there with a bunch of others I've already seen.

bristol rhythm and roots is an absolute blast. 3 days downtown Bristol. Last year they had moon taxi which was really different then the other artists there but they put on a hell of a show. Even the older crowd dug them. Unknown Hinson got added again this year. Amazing guitar player.
