The SE Louisiana workout took place at the New Orleans Saints facility today where 26 teams showed up to watch cornerback Harlan Miller. Miller improved on his combine 40 time and looked good in drills. Miller was with the Carolina Panthers last night for dinner and is taking an official visit to the team's facilities before the draft

Harlan Miller is a projected 4th rounder. I wonder if they are looking at him as possible safety depth. His 40 time is pretty bad for a CB (4.65), but he does have a reputation for being aggressive in run support.

Josh Norman ran a 4.66 40 at the Combine. Point being, our D plays a zone base scheme and our corners do not necessarily have to be very fast. Bene' ran a 4.60 I believe.

I like what I see with Harlan Miller. lots of special teams value as well. might bump him up a round or so in value for the Panthers, who spent a 5th on David Mayo in part because of his potential on ST.

Has the team had dinner with any other player up to now? My take is if they go as far as to go out to dinner with a player then there has to be a big interest.

Also what they run doesn't accurately reflect their speed.  I've seen Bene run step for step with John Brown, and he ran a 4.34.  Norman was clocked at 21.19 mph by next gen stats, and I'm not even sure he got full speed on that play.  For comparison sake, Ted Ginn was clocked at 22.44 mph when he was breaking away after a catch.  Neither guy is slow.
