Valid, but I fully expect this coming season to be tougher than last year.

As paradoxical as it might sound, better teams often have a harder road. You just have to keep giving it all you've got at every level of the organization.

Personally, I don't believe we'll match last year's record in the regular season, but I do still believe playoffs and a Super Bowl run are very possible.

eh back in 2005 we were on the cover of SI as their preseason super bowl champs and made it to the nfc title game

You can't look at past Panthers teams to judge the current one. We didn't have the Coach of the Year and the fuging MVP superstar QB, oh and possible GOAT LB...this team is a totally different animal.

the panthers were just a 50/50 proposition more often than not back in the fox years.  uneven offense with a wildly unpredictable boom/bust factor and a defense that was usually good, occasionally very good, but never consistently great.  but our teams usually looked pretty good on paper during the offseason.

Gettleman has made plain numerous times that it's a long term building approach. 

He isn't interesting in starting from scratch on an annual basis.  He wants a perennial contender.
