Carolina has to be No. 1, although it's close with New England. The return of a healthy Kelvin Benjamin should prevent this offense from taking a step back in 2016. Even if the Panthers didcatch lightning in a bottle with offensive coordinator Mike Shula's everything-I-call-is-working play calling last season, Benjamin adds another dimension to this team. The worry is the pass rush, though re-signing Charles Johnson was nice. The veteran defensive end has long been one of the NFL's most underrated players, despite being hurt much of this past season.

I think Gettleman said the getting KB back is like having another 1st round draft pick considering we were without him last year. If we just add a good DE in the draft, get a veteran WR who can catch, we're probably set..

I agree that we don't need to be buying up free agents but using power rankings, much less offseason power rankings, as the basis for absolutely any argument is a terrible idea.

I paid no attention to this poo last year when they ranked us 19th. I'm not about to pay attention now that they rank us #1.

The thing is, we really ARE the best thing going these days. Look what we did last year without the services of one of the best young WRs in the game. Denver took us out, but they now feature Mark Sanchez at QB1....so who else could be put above us right now? I can't wait for next season....the NFL ain't gonna know what hit them.

Yeah, just like they've never won back to back division titles either.

Always remember this. No two seasons are alike. We caught most of the league (and many of us) by surprise last season. That's one luxury we're not going to have coming into 2016. We have a massive target on our backs and in the past, we've fallen short coming into seasons with high expectations.

Most important season is coming up because it will tell us whether we have finally become one of those teams that will be penciled in for playoff contention every year like the Patriots or Packers.
