After We Win Sunday

Win or lose, I just want to have some hope reinstilled. I want to see us come out and execute our gameplan, stick with the run, and not shoot ourselves in the foot with turnovers and piss poor tackling. If the guys can do that, there's a good chance we win this weekend, and if not, it's something to build upon for the rest of the season.

I'd love to win, but I want us to establish ourselves again even more.

I'm not sure how any Panther fan can feel confident about our chances in Atlanta.

Sure...I understand "any given Sunday" and I also believe that we are not as bad as we looked last week. I agree that we could potentially play excellent football (including Jake and the O-line) and win the game. We are probably about even with Atlanta in terms of overall talent. The difference, I think, will be coaching (obvious, I know, but its something I think we are going to have to accept all season). I have no more delusions of glory. 8 wins is probably the ceiling, based on our schedule. THe only team I think we could beat right now on our sched. is Tampa Bay.

Delhomme turning the ball over 11 times in 2 games is too uncanny not to be a systematic failure. The play calling, running game (I know we didn't run it enough), special teams, d-line, etc. all were not in sync. Not one of them was terrible in itself, but combined they add up to a four TD loss. A FOUR TD LOSS!!! At home, on opening day.

I think Atlanta will win this game. It's not going to be enough for Jake to just play okay. As an offense, we cannot convert a 3rd down for the love of God! I still think he turns the ball over at least once, and that will be better. It will probably be close for about the first half, then I think, our defense gets tired and gives up a ton of yards through the air.
