I'm usually the one saying it to a stranger up here in VaBeach, but my go-to, reactionary response is a "Damn right!" As I point at them in acknowledgement....

Would be cooler if people said "keep" and the response was "pounding".

They hold only say "KEEP!" then you respond with "POUNDING!"

I've been trying to bring that back for awhile now. I'll be honest, it hasn't gotten much traction yet. Posting it on the huddle should help, though.
