As you can clearly see that we wait until a week has gone by before we make any moves

The free agency period started a day later last year, March 10th. So it took us 3 days for our 1st signing. Then another signing 3 days after that. Then Gettleman waited another week (17 days in) to make four almost consecutive moves. It probably would have been five moves but Tillman was injured and we waited to sign him until April.

It won't take three weeks this year for us to truly dive into free agency. One reason is that we're already into the secondary free agent market. All the big money was thrown at players in the first 24 hours this year. The second reason is that we are almost $20 million under the cap this year.

Our roster right now is tremendous. We don't have any holes. Yes, we have needs and would like upgrades at certain positions, but we're loaded.

I agree with the op.  Last year, it seems like there were more rumors about possible FA's, Ricky kept tweeting about going around the country for pro days.

I've been scouring the internets trying to find anything, and there's just not much out there. It could be we're just not as interested in as many FA's this year, although we'll sign a few from the bargain bin.

Two resigning of locker room guys. No news on contracts.

We've actually re-signed like 9 of our guys. Nothing wrong with bringing back your players from a 17-win team though. I've also been able to track down all the contracts other than Hill and Scott, though presumably those are gonna be for around the minimum.

Well, there was also Ginn and Oher. So this time last year we had signed those 2 and Williams, with Coleman a couple days later.

Just Gradkowski for us so far, but as mentioned we've also re-signed a bunch of players.

3 out of 7 of those dudes actually played for the team. That's... not a very good ratio.

Doesn't surprise or worry me.  Those players may not have made the final cut, but they provided pretty stiff competition in training camp, pushing our players to improve at almost every position.

I expect more of the same.   So many of our players said last year was the most competitive training camp they'd ever been a part of.  I think the intensity then was a big part of why we went 17-2.

It will be a challenge for Gettleman & Ron to recreate that same intensity and competition this year given that we're probably keeping a huge percentage of our 2015 roster, (justifiably since we were a Super Bowl team.)  But you've got to guard against complacency and taking having a roster place for granted.   So... hopefully Dave will bring in some more free agents to compete again.

But while the competition may be a bit less, hopefully the hunger to win will be even stronger with our guys wanting redemption in Super Bowl 51.
