Manziel vs RG3

On the field they are so far different from each other it's laughable. Even when RG3 was struggling behind that poo o line and a busted knee he would still have games where he'd put up 300 yards and 2 tds. Manziel has literally shown nothing. He is all media hype and a Lebron James endorsement.

one guy is a douche behind the scenes but he is not being seen in Vegas with rolled up dollar bills, involved in domestic violence cases, or going to rehab for substance abuse issues. Those are the reasons this question is disrespectful in my mind.

Never been a Manziel fan.  Have debated with some on here who were.

But no, I don't see it as disrespectful because there are differing opinions on here as to how much off-field issues matter.  To me, they matter a lot, but how many "let's bring back Hardy" posts have you seen?

The wild card here for me is Chip Kelly.  I could see him trying to make something of Manziel, and given Kelly's ego he probably believes he could do it. Heck, Kelly and Manziel are both guys that posters on here tried to sell as good fits for the Panthers.  Would be interesting to see them together.

Griffin? he may get a job, but I don't think his body can take the pounding of being a starter.  And honestly, that was always the biggest question mark when it came to him.

You're still comparing people who have shown something to someone who hasn't at all. You obviously take the guy who is not snorting cocaine, beating his gf and going to rehab and has shown talent on the field.

Hardy has at least player at a pro bowl/all pro level. So of course there will be some who say we should bring him back. Again Manziel has done nothing and is a dumpster fire. No one will pick that dude up.

It's RG3 and it ain't even close. It's actually an insult to RG3. I was the person screaming he would be a bust, he proved me wrong by winning roy over Andre Luck the future hall of famer. I don't believe it was a fluke and in the right system the guy can win football games. All Johnny has proven is the double standard in American society. The panthers had to pay Greg Hardy to sit at home for a year over his incident, and he's actually talented. Johnny has done nothing on the field and a whole lot off and we are talking about him getting a job like the poo he's done didn't happen.

Did I actually compare them myself or did I ask for opinions?

(look back at the OP)

Again, they're two players in similar situations (this is factual) for very different reasons.  Nothing I wrote led toward a judgment of either one.  I left that part up to respondents, which is what I prefer to do.

It'd be no different than saying "Greg Hardy and Robert Ayers are free agents.  Who would you want?"

Browns have made 8 first-round picks since 2011. Only 4 - Mingo, Gilbert, Shelton, Erving - remain with team.

Just since 2011...

And of course there's all those picks they got from the Falcons so they could draft Julio Jones, all of whom are no longer on the team.

Should hire Hurney to draft their first round only.

At this point Manziel could probably blackmail the NFL to write him a check just to stay away.  Dude will be dead or in jail within a few years if he doesn't get his life in order.

Without outstanding protection RG won't last a season.

High risk low return for these two.

Teams would have to be in desperation mode to pin their hopes/season on either one of these QBs.
