CMS to rezone schools

Should be announced within next 2 weeks.

People from low income neighborhoods say it's not fair that their kids should go to crappy schools just because they live near crappy school.  They want access to schools in Ballantyne and South Charlotte and petition for change that will likely get accepted.

So CMS took surveys and now trying to figure out how they are going to do that.  They will need to shaffle  students around... It also means that some Ballantyne and South Charlotte residents will see their kids going to crappy school miles and miles away from home.

Mint Hill and Matthews filled a petition today to no longer be part of CMS.

This is going to be messy.

Now news coming out that survey was biased.  Only extremelly small percentage of Mint Hill and Matthews residents were allowed to vote.  Looks like voting was skewed toward poor areas.

We just purchased a house 0.5 miles from Ardrey Kell High School...  I doubt they'll move my kids... Next Closest school is South Meck... Miles away.
