Boldin would immediately be our second best receiver, honestly.  He's dependable, and while he has some injuries here and there, he won't be expected to be a #1/#2 out there and could thrive.  He's experienced, tough, and has good character.   Obviously you wouldn't break the bank but, he could help us out for cheap.

Dianna Marie Russini of ESPN reports that free agent DE Chris Long is expected to decide on his next team soon.

According to Russini, Long wants to play for a winning team in 2016.

Long has visited with the Cowboys, Falcons and Redskins in recent days, but there’s a chance he could take another visit if someone reaches out to him.----------

--No clue which one of them is a winning team tho , Visiting wrong places it seems --

ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed a report from SportsMockery that the Bears are bringing free agent TE Jermaine Gresham for a visit on Thursday.

  • Schefter adds that the Bears are still fielding trade offers for veteran TE Martellus Bennett.

The #Lions are re-signing LB Tahir Whitehead, source said. He had been visiting the #Bucs today.

#Lions and LB Tahir Whitehead, I'm told it's a 2-year deal worth more than $8M.

I'd love it if he visited here.

Dolphins signed Broncos restricted free-agent running back CJ Anderson to a 4-year offer sheet. Denver has 5 days to match or lose.
--

The low-round tender will cost the Broncos  $1,671,000 for the 2016 season and give them the right of first refusal on any contract offer they receive. However, if they elect to not match an offer sheet, Denver would not receive any compensation for him

Miami's offer sheet to RFA running back CJ Anderson is worth $18M over 4years. Broncos in a bit of a crunch w/no QB and Von deal looming

  • The contract also includes $24M guaranteed and $30M over the first three years, per Getlin.

Weddle to Raiders

According to the San Francisco Chronicle's Vic Tafur, the Raiders are "working on" free agent S Eric Weddle.

It's amazing what constitutes a report today. Someone on twitter asked Tafur: "Hey Vic, what are the Raiders WORKING ON next?"

He said Weddle, though he hadn't confirmed the visit. He then had to clarify that he heard nothing about a visit, he was just speculating.

That decision to give the low round tender was seriously baffling.

32 million for sanu is hilarious

Falcons sign WR Mohamed Sanu (5 years, $32.5M; $14M guaranteed): LAUGHING TOO HARD TO CONCENTRATE ON KIELBASA INSERTION Grade
Whoever was responsible for this signing needs to be thrown in prison for stupidity. It's that horrible. In fact, it's so terrible that even Matt Millen, who was notorious for overpaying pedestrian receivers, must be laughing at it. The Falcons should apologize to him for spoiling the mood.

I don't get the thought process behind this. Sure, the Falcons needed a new No. 2 receiver, but that doesn't mean that they should've thrown $32.5 million at a terrible player. And Sanu is terrible for sure. Sanu caught just 33 balls in 2015, and in the year before, when he was utilized more in the wake of numerous injuries, he led the league in dropped passes, all while struggling to separate. He logged 56 catches for 790 yards.

A realistic contract for Sanu should've been a 2-year, $5 million deal with about $1.5 million guaranteed. And that's being generous. It's quite apparent that the Falcons haven't watched any tape of Sanu. Either that, or they're intentionally trying to ruin Millen's afternoon.

I've decided Denver's FO has still got a Super Bowl hangover.  They don't seem to be able to keep any of their free agents...  Don't seem to have a plan.  Pretty shocking all the talent that could be walking out that door.

Manning didn't help by waiting so late to announce his retirement.

But hey, good for us if they fall apart.
