I hope Texan fans don't get too excited.  Osweiler is clearly being overrated beyond proportion.  The media is acting like the Texans just landed the next Drew Brees type of free agent.  I guess they are just setting things up only to come back later and laugh at the woeful Texans once they go 4-12 next year.  I won't be surprised though.

Two factors in favor of a possible trade up:

1. Jumping Denver who now has a major QB need

2. Getting the 5th year option

 

Vikings did it to get Bridgewater. If a team wanted the QB and was worried Denver may take him then a trade up would be reasonable.

Yep, that is why I speculated on the Cowboys moving up from 4th pick in the 2nd round.  Now there might be a lot more suitors.

 

I would suspect that Denver might move up themselves to get Lynch.  They should probably sign the Jets old QB until a new guy learns

If Denver thinks that RG3 or Kaepernick are gonna suddenly fix their turnoveritis...well...their gonna have a bad time.  Regardless, I think Denver could miss the playoffs next year, their line is a mess, run game isn't much, and QB is gonna be garbage, I think KC wins that division and Oakland will battle with them for second and possibly a playoff spot depending on the rest of the AFC.
