Who has it worse than the Jets right now?

I could see him leaving for a team with actual receivers.  Jets salary cap is kind of fuged.

Nah he's not leaving the only O-Coordinator that's made him look like a respectable pro throughout his journeyman career. He won't have the kind of success he's had with the jets, nor will they find a better option available this year.

Also better receivers? The Jets had one of, if not the best WR tandems in Decker and Marshall this past season. They lit it up every week.

I didn't mean it in as comparing it to the Jets receivers sense.  I meant it as Fitzpatrick needing a good-great receiving corp.

A: Decker and Marshall are studs

B: The RB class is great this year. A lot of talent top to bottom

C: They will still put out one of the best defenses in the league.

Jets will go 10-6 at least with the Bills imploding and the Dolphins still figuring out their identity

Eh, people said that about The Panthers last August

Totally different situation.  We have a QB that's a beast in the prime of his career.  They have, well, Geno Smith.  We also have an RB that when healthy, is a Top 10 RB in the NFL.  They have, well, I don't know actually.

Starting QB?  Gone.  Geno Smith show now, not good.  Starting RB?  Gone to the Jags.

Two new starters in two critical positions, for an already average offense.  Not good.

The Jets were 10-6 last year and have a very solid D. Free agency hasn't even started and no one said Fitzpatrick is definitely gone. They also made no effort to bring back Ivory so no loss there.

So to answer your question, many teams have it worse than the Jets. Pretty weird thread to find on a Panthers board.

Well, there's much more weird threads.  It was just a thought.

The Jets won 10 games last year and have one of the best defenses in the league

Fitz is just testing the waters trying to leverage a better deal. If/when he signs elsewhere maybe you can say something but right now he's most likely returning to the Jets

Letting a veteran RB walk in free agency works out in your favor like 90% of the time
