I'm only willing to commit to a solid roster at this point.

We've seen plenty of 'dream team' rosters go down in flames.

The Raiders have built their team like we did. Young and talented Qb. Young and talented WR. Young and talented LB. They have all of the great starting pieces. If they continue doing what they are doing now, they'll eventually have a team that's as solid as ours.

Well their main pieces are homegrown/drafted talent which is way different than the dream teams.

Grant all that, but the Raiders have been like the Lions.  Every year someone predicts this is finally the season they become a contender, and every year they fall back to earth.

Maybe this year they'll be right, but till then they're a "believe it when I see it" team for me.

I agree. Never said they were going to be a good team, just that they've put some solid pieces in place through the draft. However, there was a point when we were like the Raiders...

Their pass defense was bottom 10 in pass defense last year and they had the ageless Woodson commanding their secondary. Until proven otherwise I still think teams are going to pass all over the Raiders.

Still a lot of time left, though.

The big wild card for me is Mark Davis.

Will he have the patience to let his coach and GM build, or if this year isn't a playoff / Super Bowl season, will he blow it up and start over again?

The Raiders have been one of those impatient teams that keep hitting the 'Reset' button for a while now.  They'd be smart to stop, but will they?

Guess we'll see.

Not saying this season. But the future is looking bright for them.

Everyone, including me, thought the Bradley or Quinn connections would lure him but it was the Ken Norton connection that got hi

It is Jr. though just because I'm an old school boxing fan. Ha

Nevermind that, really enjoy your posts and insight man. Nohomo

thank god, Bruce seems to have our number

I remember him almost murdering Cam in the 2014 regular season game. You or I could have put up as much resistance as Byron Bell did. I remember the look of disgust Cam had, one of the few times he ever looked pissed at a teammate
