You said some things "many things" last offseason too, repeatedly predicting we were going nowhere.

How'd that work out for ya?

I said it would take a herculean effort from Cam which it did, still came up short cause we never addressed receivers.

Keep pushing that no receivers agenda

We went to the Super Bowl, kid. You don't do that on a single player.

As far as receivers, you probably haven't heard of him because you don't seem to pay much attention, but there's this guy named Kelvin Benjamin who's playing for us this year.

There's also a guy named Devin Funchess who was looking pretty good by year's end and will be even better going into his second year.

I can give you a link to the Panthers roster page if you'd like to find out more about who these guys are.

With Charles Johnson re-signed, I think we're going to turn our attention to DT.

Re-signing Kyle Love I would think is our next priority. I think Gettleman will look at some penetrating DT options.

Kopp an eye out for guys like Mike Martin from the Titans, Cedric Thornton from Eagles and Kendal Reyes from San Diego as options.

All is hush it seems on the Weddle front which makes me think we could be in talks.  It seems his likely destination is either Pitt or here.

I mean, we have the room moving forward to add Weddle on a 2/3-year deal if it seems like a great fit from the staff and DG's side of things.  I still think we land him.  2 years with a ~7 mil base?

My prediction:

Eric Weddle (S)

Jeremy Lane (CB)

A DT..(maybe Love, maybe someone else but not splashy...Steve McLendon?)

A swing o-lineman

We went to the Super Bowl in spite of our receivers.

The same Funchess who couldn't beat out Cotchery? The same Kelvin coming back from a serious knee injury?

I can give you link after link showing you how bad the receivers were. Cam lapped the field in yards lost to drops

See, this illustrates where you and I are different.

I don't need links to judge players because I actually watch the games and understand what I'm seeing.

It's pretty well established that you don't do either of those things.

And FYI: statements like "we went in spite of those guys" are really dumb.  Every player contributes.

Did you see all those drops? Did you see how we couldn't pick up YAC if their life depended on it? Did you watch the SB?

Your such a yes man your scared to criticize any move the front office makes

in yes we won all those games in spite of them, we could of had almost any other receiving core and still won those games.

I saw every single moment of every single game of the entire season kid. I seriously doubt you can say the same.

We lost two games all season and came within one game of being world champions. And we're in pretty good position to make the roster even better for the coming season.

You still want to act like you know more than the front office? The only thing you're accomplishing is making yourself look even more ridiculous than you already do.

That's what I thought, try changing the topic, that's all you can do. These receivers are not Super Bowl caliber and it showed in the biggest game.

And to top it off we lost to a team that brought in a legit WR through free agency

    • We can't afford to reach for one of the first round QBs this year. I would love for nothing more than Bryce to be the reason we don't even scout the bastards
