But as said earlier in thread there isn't anything out there about a potential foot or ankle injury. Obviously that doesn't mean anything, though.

My money is on him just seeing Dr Anderson. He has had plantar fasciitis previously and it's possible it flared back up and he wants to get a clean bill of health letter from him before the start of free agency. Maybe he met with Tolbert because they are friends from San Diego but I really wouldn't read much more into it than that.

Coples had been released by Miami, I believe.  No longer under contract.

Gates is a pending free agent.  Technically still under contract thru March 9.  "legal tampering" can't begin until the 7th, I think.
