Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that the Vikings are releasing WR Mike Wallace.

Wallace, 29, is in the fourth five-year, $60 million contract that included $30 million guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries of $11.45 million over the next two years.

According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Wallace will free up $11.5 million in available cap space while creating no dead money.

In 2105, Wallace appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and recorded 39 receptions for 473 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

Hmmmmmmmm...... wonder what CJ is hinting at????

Blindly speculating here, but he has visited both the Giants and Bucs that we know about. With the Giants signing JPP today, I'll guess they are out which leaves the Bucs and since he hasn't signed with the Bucs that would seem to mean that he has the Bucs offer and is taking it back to Gettleman to see if he will come close with a deadline of tomorrow. If DG comes close then he is back in Carolina and if not then he goes to Tampa Bay. Again, I'm just blindly speculating based off of reports and rumors.

A bit of both probably. He's definitely a 4-3 DE, but he was also way overdrafted. Agree on the DG special. He has to pass through waivers though and we have the 31st priority. Have to think we put a claim in since all he's got is a $1M non guaranteed year left on his rookie deal, but he may not make it to us.

He'll probably be ours IF we want him. He's one of the biggest busts in the league. That said, he's a little shorter, a few pounds lighter, and not as fast as Ryan Delaire, our smallest DE.

I just want to make it back to the Super Bowl.  Shitting the bed like that has left a bad taste for all of the fan base.

man, can't agree with you enough. I'm STILL not very excited about this offseason. Mainly because I can't believe we shat the bed so badly and now I have to see Von Miller or Manning EVERYWHERE I look.

That's a good guess. I hope it's true and bring him back he's one of my all time favs.

Maybe he is saying he has 2 more teams to visit and then he will choose ? No clue

I took the '2mor' meaning - 'tomorrow' but IDK.  Either way, I wish him the best, and would love CJ back on a fair deal in Carolina.  Let him test the market, speak with DG and give us the chance to match.

Ahh i see , then I would say he signing with the bucs  ,, But whats epic about  losing to his old team 2x a year ?

I guess the part of getting paid to lose 2x is epic  maybe ?
