GREAT news if true.  I did not want JPP in CLT.

The real question is who the Cardinal get. We play them next year and they'll likely be competition if we both make the playoffs and they've been mentioned with several pass rushers in free agency, recently JPP and Hali. I could see them signing Irvin but if not I expect them to snipe a DE from us in the draft.

Another DE off the market (assuming Williams deal gets done) as Malik Jackson goes to the Jags.

The Jags and Raiders are making noise with their deep pockets.

Looks like the DE market will be thin this year. I expect big money will get 8mill a year from a cash loaded team.

The #Texans are making a strong push to secure RB Lamar Miller before the league year begins, source said. Working toward a deal.

They need to try harder to sign Osweiler. We have to play in Mile H1GH next season, and I'd love to see them in a tailspin without Manning and Osweiler.

Honestly the Texans have every reason to pushpush for him and he has every reason to leave.

Robinson said in the tweet that they would talk in April and then again in the Summer before the deadline if nothing happens in April. Doesn't sound like anything is imminent, but it is a priority to get a deal done before the July 15th deadline.

You're probably right.

I wonder how not being able to acquire a veteran DE at a decent price is going to affect our plans. Is G-man really going to insert Addison, Miley and Delaire in his equation of drafting the BPA as opposed to a DE that may be needed? I think that he will, but I also wonder if he'll dig a little deeper into his pocket and pay to retain CJ's services.

If Big $$$ signs with Tampa, I'll be concerned, but not worried. We know who he is and what he can do, and what he isn't is a LDE speed rusher that typically gives Remmers fits.

I see us picking up a run stopper in FA. Nothing big though. Remember we didn't drop off much last year with both CJ and Allen gone, actually pass rush was better.

CJ at this point is not all that great at pass rush,  he had one of the best UT in the game beside him and failed to deliver. He will be over valued on the market because of the team he played for.

Kind of surprised we haven't heard anything about interest in CJ from the Falcons yet. He fits there, they have plenty of money and he almost went there once already. Jones also implied on twitter that he would like to stay on the east coast to be close to his family if he leaves and Atlanta is as close as you can get to Charlotte. They must not have much interest at all.
