You are the guy who screams "the sky is falling" and then when it rains claims to be right.

So thinking that our elite players are going to get paid like elite players is "the sky is falling"

I would love Cameron wake here if the phins released him. I thought they asked him to do to much in Miami and he would be a perfect situational guy (ala what freeny was for the cards last year. )

Lol no. Wake is still one of the best DEs in the league. He'd be a day one impact player for us. Maybe the injury lingers but I sure as heck wouldn't mind seeing if that's the case firsthand.

#Raiders deal for G Kelechi Osemele will make him one of the 5 highest paid OL — including tackles — in NFL. More than $11M per year.

The crazy spending continues. That shatters the OG market where the previously highest paid OG was at $9M/year

Remember, CA teams have to contend with a state tax above 13%.  Puts em behind the 8 ball right off I would think

Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports that the Falcons and the reps for free agent OLB O’Brien Schofield are working together on a new contract.

However, Schofield is reportedly generating interest from the Cowboys, Bears, and Titans.

Schofield, 28, wound up following Dan Quinn to Atlanta and signing a one-year contract with the Falcons last year. He’s once again in position to test the open market for the third time in the past four seasons.

In 2015, Schofield appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and recorded 29 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble

Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reports that the Saints have reached an agreement with TE Michael Hoomanawanui on a three-year deal.

Hoomanawanui, 27, came over in a trade with the Patriots that sent DL Akiem Hicks to New England. He played out his two-year, $2.4 million contract and would have been an unrestricted free agent in the coming days.

In 2015, Hoomanawanui has appeared in 14 games for the Patriots and Saints and recorded 14 receptions for 76 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

No for being an idiot and thinking they will get extended now when we have them under contract for two more seasons on the low..... I trust gman keep them while there cheap let em walk.

im surprised you haven't suggested redoing cams contract already.

Where did I say Turner or anyone else with 2 years left will get extended this offseason? That's not even allowed. Can't extend a draft pick until after year 3 with the new CBA. Turner is for next year or the year after. Short is the only player I would extend this year and he is entering the final year of his rookie contract because I wouldn't want to be forced to tag him or risk him in a bidding war in FA.

4th highest DL is around $15-16M per year on a long term deal which puts him behind Suh, Watt and Dareus, but ahead of Robert Quinn. Excluded Muhammad Wilkerson who is on the franchise tag because it indicates that it's based on other long term deals.
