source.

I Don't understand this one tho .

Ian Rapoport is now reporting that the Eagles have informed both LB Kiko Alonso and CB Byron Maxwell that they’re being traded to the Dolphins, pending physicals.

  • Aramando Salguero reports that the trade is done, but the Dolphins still have to work on Maxwell’s contract and Alonso needs an extension.
  • Jason La Canfora reports that the Dolphins will be taking on Maxwell’s full 2016 salary.
  • However, the Dolphins and Maxwell’s agent will work on a restructuring of his contract for the 2017 season. In the end, La Canfora doesn’t anticipate it being a big issue for them.
  • La Canfora is “stunned” the Eagles were able to move this contract and his full salary without absorbing some money.

An under-the-radar player drawing interest: #Falcons DL Adrian Clayborn. #Giants, #Jags, #Cowboys, #Dolphins among those lurking.

Clayborn, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2011. He spent four years in Tampa Bay before signing a one-year contract with the Falcons last year.

In 2015, Clayborn appeared in all 16 games and recorded 15 tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 53 edge rusher out of 110 qualifying players

The Carolina Panthers have placed a second-round tender on RFA RT Mike Remmers, according to his agent Brett Tessler.

The Carolina Panthers have just put the 2nd round Restricted Free Agent tender on starting RT Mike Remmers.

— Brett Tessler (@TesslerSports) March 7, 2016

The second-round tender will cost the Panthers $2.553 million for the 2016 season and net them a second-round pick if he receives an offer sheet from another team, and they elect to pass on matching it.

Remmers, 25, originally signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State back in 2012. He has also spent time with the Buccaneers, Chargers, Vikings and Rams before the Panthers signed him off of St. Louis’ practice squad back in 2014.

In 2015, Remmers appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 43 offensive tackle out of 77 qualifying players.

  • Impending free-agent WR James Jones told Josina Anderson of his plans for next season: “100 percent I want to keep playing. At least 3 more years. I had the best year out of all these free agents.

I'm told the #Saints and former first-round CB Kyle Wilson have agreed to terms on a one-year deal to keep him in New Orleans.

According to Mike Florio, the Jaguars are very interested in free-agent DE Malik Jackson.

Falcons announce that they’ve tendered exclusive rights free-agent S Ricardo Allen.

The Buffalo Bills tendered contracts restricted free agents DE Corbin Bryant, WR Chris Hogan, and OT Jordan Mills, according to Aaron Wilson.

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports that the Vikings have reached out to the reps for Bengals free agent S Reggie Nelson.

According to Tomasson, it appears as though the Vikings “really like” Nelson, who has obvious ties to HC Mike Zimmer from their time together in Cincinnati.

The Falcons have previously come up as a speculative option for Nelson, who is among the best available safeties in this year’s free agent market.

Nelson, 32, played out his contract and is now in position to test the open market in the coming weeks as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Nelson appeared in all 16 games and recorded 77 tackles, eight interceptions, two forced fumbles, and 14 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 9 safety out of 88 qualifying players.

The Carolina Panthers announced that they’ve re-signed WR Stephen Hill to a one-year contract on Monday.

The #Panthers have tendered restricted free agent OT Mike Remmers and re-signed WR Stephen Hill to a one-year deal.

— Carolina Panthers (@Panthers) March 7, 2016

Hill, 24, is a former 2nd round (43rd overall) for the Jets back in 2012. He spent just two years with the team before he was placed waivers at the start of the 2014 season.

The Panthers later signed Hill to their practice squad and eventually gave him a future/reserve contract. However, he was waived with the injury designation at the start of the 2015 season and later reverted to the injured reserve list.

In 2013, Hill appeared in 12 games and caught 24 passes for 342 yards receiving and a touchdown.

He still young only 24 WoW
