He can get 14-15 mill on the open market, why would he settle for 10-12?  You wouldn't, and I wouldn't.

I would indeed. Not much of a difference to me between 12 and 14-15. If I care about winning as well as getting paid, I take the $2 mil discount to play in Charlotte.

According to this chart, he was 8th best in the league in the 'Plays on Passes' metric... are you insinuating that that's a bad thing?

..Don't get me wrong, Norman has skills and I respect that. His production is a byproduct of the Dline but he aint in the top 5 of nothing... I'm just growing weary of the theatrics of puffing. I like his moxie though.... be curious if he puts up the same numbers in 2016....he'll be  playin for a contract again if a deal isn't done by then but also will be playin not to get injured.

And yet Kuechly and Davis have bailed him on out countless times. Josh is a stud but don't BS me. Norman is who he is because he has so much freedom as a defender. He won't have that luxury on teams like Jacksonville. Let's that straight right now. I'd like to see him huff and puff about being the best behind a Giants defense that has a very poor front seven.

Quote me on it. If Norman leaves for money and joins Washington or Baltimore, he won't crack the top 10 in statistics for CBs.

Josh has freedom as a defender? In a Rivera-McDermott defense? Yeah, he just runs around all willy nilly as he sees fit. I mean come on. Everyone on this D has a specific job. There is no freedom.

I also think it's a bit disingenuous to make up scenarios to try and put Josh in a bad light. Josh is a stud. He just may be able to play to his strengths no matter what the scheme, or players around him.

As long as Josh is on the field, QBs will try and throw the other way. Won't matter where he is playing, or who he is playing with/for. He has the rep now. QBs will avoid him if they can.

When he is ballin' out more than any corner in the league and getting paid $17 mill a year for the 6-10 Browns in 2017, 2018 and 2019 no one, no one will give a flying shlt, not even Norman.

Whatevs, let the chips fall where they may.

I want him here and he is good, but not so good that we retreat back to the Hurney days of having no $.

Got be fiscally responsible.  2016 is not the last year the Panthers are playing football.

It's always been funny to me how whenever a fan favorite implies he is willing to leave to get paid or leaves on bad terms, all of a sudden, that player is overrated and will flop away from Carolina.

Get that contract, Josh.

I think Gettleman is going to have to work something out to keep Josh around for another few years.  Gettleman says it takes a good three years to see a rookie come along and be "ready."  He also said he doesn't want to develop players for other teams

Bene' is coming into his 3rd season, as well as Boston. Bene' is like 24 and has been better in his first 2-years than was Norman in his first  couple of years.
