That's our J-No!  Hey, ya gotta love his confidence & swagger.  Hopefully his going on record to say such a wild thing will make him PLAY like one of the top 5 corners of all time....

But he sure is inviting scrutiny & ribbing....

And no, this doesn't really bode well for contract negotiations for a long-term contract as a Panther.

But, his personality is a big part of what makes him such an electric & fun player to watch.  He's very right in what he said about this being entertainment and people coming to watch a certain kind of product.  He continues to bet on the entertainment value (and play quality) that he can provide.  Hope he continues to shine.  And hopefully it's in CLT.

I mean, I get players thinking they are the best so you got to cut them some slack when they overrate themselves (I mean you want them to think they are the best).

but.....his list is whack ignoring his placement.

Just stop wasting our time, Norman.

Go to Oakland or Jacksonville and get your 20 million a year. Then we'll see your ass playing for New England 2-3 years from now.

What the hell is he supposed to say and do? Would you willingly take 70 cents on the dollar at your job because you like who you work with?

He can get paid all he wants but judging from his delusional ass he wants to be paid as the highest DB in the game after one fantastic season. I just him to stop with the: "Yeah, I want to stay in my home state..." BS. He knows he isn't staying at this point.

Again, Josh has it good here. Personally, 10-12 million a year (willing to put my testicles on the line with that estimation) is more than enough. Norman is playing with Kuechly, Short, Davis, Shaq, Lotulelei and Ealy after all. If he can't take a little bit less just so the band can stay together then that I don't want his greedy ass here.

He can get 14-15 mill on the open market, why would he settle for 10-12?  You wouldn't, and I wouldn't.

I'm shocked he listed himself as low as 5th.

Any corner worth a damn thinks they are the GOAT even after getting toasted by a rookie.  He's not getting paid for being a damn historian or for his commentary.

I love Josh but we need to make CB help a priority, I just don't see him here after next year.

Maybe if he had the pedigree of Revis I would agree, but this is just falling apart IMO. He won't get a long term deal here, but hopefully he balls out next year so someone else has an actual reason to pay him as a top corner in the league. I just can't get behind a guy who has ONE good season (and I'd argue that it wasn't even a full good season) and then expecting to get paid like a guy who is a 4 time all pro.

Yet, he'll be the same type of idiot claiming to desire a ring more than money 2-3 years from now. I just don't wanna hear that whiny poo. Josh has a great chance to still get paid AND win a ring with us but it's that extra 4-5 million a year that'll cloud that judgement.

Oh well. I just don't wanna hear it.

It really is sad that the guy doesn't want to leave 16-20 extra mil on the table just to stay here and make you happy. How dare he want money. Especially since he has already made a whopping 2.3 mil his first 4 years. He is considered a top corner in the league. And he wants to get paid like one. But hellz, let the whiny bit(h leave cuz we can't match what he wants.

I realize you are a fan of the Panthers. And that you want what's best for the team. And making Josh stay and take less money is just fine and dandy with you. Just face it. He ain't getting what he wants from us. We just can't afford it. We have too many other guys we need to keep.

We are a product of our own success. If we didn't have to worry about paying Stah, KK, Turner, KB, and maybe Ealy and Norwell. We just might have been able to keep Josh.

And I would argue that Josh has been pretty much balling out for almost 2 full years. He has proven he is a top Corner. He has made basically no money to date. I can see where he is coming from. His window to make some real cash is closing. Why should he give up money just to make a handful of fans happy?

He wouldn't. And he shouldn't. Not in his situation. He bet on himself, and he pretty much won.

Please don't.

We are a product of our success but Norman wouldn't be the stud he is without Kuechly and Short too.

I am sorry, but a stud is a stud. With or without help, a stud is hard to hide. Even on bad teams a stud stands out. And Josh has stood out now for almost 2 years.

And now he wants to be paid like the stud he is. He realizes it's a business. Gman knows it's just a business. Unfortunately, some fans, who think with their heart and not their wallet, haven't gotten the memo.
