Get a load of Russell Wilson's clothing line

Russell Wilson has partnered with Nordstrom to start his own clothing line which will feature $350 sneakers and $148 polo shirts.

That's all and well, but check this out: for every purchase THREE DOLLARS will be donated to his own foundation, which will then supposedly funnel that money to inner-city schools.

So looking at the math, he would need to sell about 333 pairs of the $350 sneaker to raise $1,000. Go get'em tiger.

But hey,

Quote

It’s more than fashion, it’s about effecting change.” Wilson emphasized, once more. “That’s what we’re really after.”

I heard about the line and the prices on the radio yesterday, which i found ridiculous...  but, the show i was listening to said those prices were on par with high-end dress clothes (which i don't buy a ton of, so i wouldn't know).  And i wasn't really moved either way because i thought he was donating ALL the profits to charity...  now seeing it's only $3 per ridiculously priced item, this seems like a money grab, dick move.  And yes, that comma betwern grab and dick was strategically placed.

    • Some of us may forget when Drew Brees “wasn’t” the great QB we faced in New Orleans. Prior to his HOF career, he was an afterthought in Dan Diego that was particularly liked by his coach Marty Schottenheimer.  But we all see how that turned out.  Bryce may never be the 2nd coming of Brees but let’s give him and the staff time to help him reach his potential.
    • Here’s another that we fans should keep in mind: Sometimes greatness takes time. Mahomes had the benefit of sitting a season behind Alex Smith after the Chiefs traded up to take him with the 10th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Young, last year’s top pick, started 16 games as a rookie, going 2-14, absorbing 62 sacks and posting the league’s worst passer rating.

He throws a really good ball,” Patrick Mahomes said. “I think Texas Tech was the first one to offer him when he was in eighth grade. I was at Texas Tech, so I remember watching his highlight tapes then and knew he was going to be a great player.”
