Darker, grittier reboots are getting kinda silly

I can't decide whether I want to see a dark and gritty Brady Bunch or a dark and gritty Andy Griffith.

A deranged, maniacal Barney Fife could be interesting.

Technically, Marcia and Greg Brady aren't biologically related..... same with the other kids.... see where this is going?

Ozzie & Harriet were luring kids into their basement with Rick Nelson songs...

"Ward, something's wrong with the Beaver...."

The Brady Bunch remake films are a gullibility pleasure for me.

Just saw word that The CW is doing a pilot called "Riverdale" which is said to be, and I quote, "a darker take on the Archie comics".

Yeah...Can't wait to see that.

Maybe next they can do a dark, gritty take on Richie Rich that explores issues of class differences, or perhaps a new version of Beetle Bailey that addresses the horrors of war.

What else can we give a dark reimagining to?

Um, have you seen Trump?
