More power to him, but I think it's kinda sad. I would have never believed that Peyton Manning was a guy that would keep playing after everyone and their mama has literally seen his skills diminish. The juxtaposition from then until now is too obvious.

Schefter "believes" Manning wants to play which is different than a sourced report. The headlines today about that story have been very misleading.

I would think that if he wasn't heavily considering playing that he would've already announces his retirement.  Really hope this doesn't turn into Favre version 2.0.  I have a lot of respect for Manning and that would suck.

I dont get it, even when he's playing like garbage he still won the SB, in 10/15 years time nobody will remember how bad he was and just remember he went out on top, why would you want to ruin that for the sake of one more year?

This.  He fell backasswards into a 2nd ring on the back of a great D and a Panthers team that decided to turn the ball over at every opportunity.  He had a terrible season statistically.  The Broncos are probably gonna want to move on anyway.

Meh, we beat ourselves.  The turnovers killed us.  Takin is a piece of poo, but everyone already knew that.  Other than that, I don't really have an issue with the Broncos.

Pro football is like a drug.

Relatively few guys retire on top. More often than not, good players stay around at least one year too long.
